Daniel Helps Azure in her work book

Since I am new to my blog, I will do some back Blogging in time. This was a day or two after Christmas. Dan is helping Azure in her new Work book that Santa brought her. She seems to never loose interest in wanting to learn more and more. Here are a few photo's of her and Daddy while Daddy has an after work snack of a Christmas orange.

Azure has a Dora Band-Aid on her forehead. Santa also brought those and they have to be used on what ever must have one.

Daniel is the best Dad ever! We are enjoying his break from School. It is only a few weeks. We know the sacrifice will be worth it for our whole family when he finishes.

And the back.

Azure's new Haicut

Azure got a new haircut today. It is the same haircut I have, but with bangs. She watched Iron Man, Tinkerbell, and Madagascar 2 all during the haircut. Yes, it takes me that long to cut hair. I have no former training unless you count growing up with a mother who went to school to do so. My family are my only clients. I like that they let me practice on them. I enjoy cutting their hair. Hopefully it will never be too painful for them.

Azure in her Spot

This is the very spot I saw Azure grow.
The first time we saw this house. I turned around for a last look and had a distinct feeling that I would see Azure in this very spot grow for years to come. I was nervous knowing this would be our home. But knew it would be ours and smiled as I walked away.

Corban working wih Tools

Corban will often be quietly playing somewhere on his own. I found him one day in the basement at Daddy's workbench. He is working on using a screwdriver and putting a nail into a piece of wood. This is left so convenient for him I can not help but to think he could have been working with daddy earlier. Dan is great to help Corban feel involved in his projects. My little boy is growing into a big boy so quickly.

Our 2008 Christmas was wonderful. We Shared our Christmas morning with our friends Vicky and Chan, who are learning about America and all it's traditions. Breakfast was at 9a.m, Daniel made waffles, hash browns and ham. Vicky and Chan told us they had bought frozen waffles but did not know how to eat them. We happily told them with butter and syrup.
Azure and Corban had many favorite presents. One they have not let go of since opening is a vintage key with a ribbon tied round, to be worn around their neck for safe keeping. They each received one with a note from Santa telling them they where given keys to their house. they have spent time putting the keys into the key hole in all the doors of our home. I believe Santa is smiling with joy in seeing the children play with old things, in such a special way.
